๐ŸŽƒ Make-ahead spooky cocktail ready in minutes, low-cal with fresh fruits for antioxidants โ€“ ideal for parties without the hassle.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 8 cocktails

Ingredients

– 10 fluid ounces fresh blackberries for deep color and juicy berry flavor

– 10 fluid ounces fresh raspberries for a bright tart note that wakes up the drink

– 1 cup black grapes for sweetness and a rich, dark look

– 1 apple, cored and chopped for crisp texture and fresh fruit flavor

– 1 bottle (750 ml) affordable dry fruity red wine for the sangria base

– 1.5 cups vodka for a stronger cocktail finish

– 0.5 cup raspberry liqueur for berry sweetness and extra depth

– 1 cup apple cider for warm fall flavor and subtle sweetness

– 0.5 cup pomegranate juice for tart color and a Halloween-ready look

– Lemon-lime soda or cola for topping for fizz and a fun finish right before serving

Instructions

1-First Step: Prep the fruit Start by gathering a large pitcher and washing all of your fruit well. Add the 10 fluid ounces fresh blackberries, 10 fluid ounces fresh raspberries, 1 cup black grapes, and 1 cored and chopped apple to the pitcher. The fruit should be ready to go before you pour in the liquids, since this helps everything mix smoothly from the start.

2-Second Step: Add the liquids Pour in the 1 bottle (750 ml) affordable dry fruity red wine, 1.5 cups vodka, 0.5 cup raspberry liqueur, 1 cup apple cider, and 0.5 cup pomegranate juice. These ingredients create the dark, fruity base that makes Black Magic Sangria such a standout Halloween drink. Stir gently but thoroughly so the fruit is evenly coated and the flavors begin to blend.

3-Third Step: Mix and chill Once everything is combined, cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. If you have a little extra time, you can let it chill for up to 4 hours. This resting time lets the berries soften slightly and helps the wine take on more fruit flavor. Do not leave it overnight, though, because the fruit can turn mushy and lose its fresh taste.

4-Fourth Step: Prepare the glasses Right before serving, fill each glass with ice. This keeps the sangria cold without watering down the whole pitcher too early. Then give the pitcher a final gentle stir, since some of the fruit and juice may settle a bit while it chills.

5-Final Step: Pour and top with fizz Fill each glass about halfway with the sangria, making sure each serving gets a nice mix of fruit. Top each glass with lemon-lime soda or cola, depending on the flavor you want. Lemon-lime soda gives a lighter, brighter sip, while cola makes the drink taste a little deeper and richer. Serve right away for the best texture and fizz.

Notes

๐ŸงŠ Add ice and soda just before serving to keep the sangria fresh and bubbly.
โฐ Prepare up to 4 hours in advance, but not overnight to avoid mushy fruit.
๐ŸŒซ๏ธ For extra spook, add dry ice safely with tongs โ€“ let it dissolve fully before drinking.
